The adventure begins in historic Mission Harbour where you will be welcomed on board Fraser River Safari's fully covered, all-weather safari craft, which has been custom designed to provide you with the utmost in comfort and safety.
From here your highly trained guide will weave through the huge braided channels of the Fraser, centered between the Coast Mountains and Cascade Mountains north of the US border, and over looking the snow capped volcano Mt Baker.
As you journey learn how the river carved a rich legacy for the Province of British Columbia and hear stories from the past. Your guides will share with you a First Nation legend passed down through time. See how industry and an abundant wildlife manage to thrive here side by side as you get closer to the snow fed waters of the Harrison River. This is where the magic is, see the swirling back eddies and be captivated by the area that has held its secrets close for thousands of years.
Every changing season brings with it a new hive of activity on the Fraser, with abundant bird life as well as the often sighted bears, seals, and deer, all providing a paradise for both the seasoned and amateur photographer.

The Power House at Stave Falls and Fraser River Safari have joined forces to create a dynamic new tour. Designed specifically for coach groups of 10-42 people this exciting option will “Spark your Imagination” and take guests into some of the most awe inspiring scenery around.
Tour the 1912 generating station that still houses the original turbines and generators. Create electricity with the many hands on exhibits and enjoy the creative displays set up throughout. Take a break for lunch, served up right on site and browse the gift shop too.
The other half of this great package is an exploration of the Stave Lake on the all-weather ‘Safari” boat. Sit back and learn about the area while this amazing craft journeys closer to the glacier at the base of Mt. Robie Reid. The area has many a secret, and only Fraser River Safari can share them with you on the remarkable adventure.

Along the way you will explore the shores of the Fraser River and even pass the very spot where Canada's first train robbery took place. Approximately half way between Hope and Vancouver, on the Scenic Highway 7, sits the charismatic city of Mission, which the Europeans historically named the 'Meeting Place'. Prior to the arrival of the European pioneers, this was home to the Sto:lo First Nations people who have thrived here for over 9000 years.
